Give me back my money!
April 7th I attempted to register a discretionary (non-trademarked) .eu domain, was told by a particular US registrar that I was successful only to find out yesterday that the domain had outstanding pre-registration attempts with other registrars and eventually slipped to one of them and not me.
Not happy to have forked out good money for a bunch of domains I would have used (legitimately I might add) I promptly emailed their customer support to explain my case. Low and behold Paypal informs that my credit card has been refunded for each domain I brought a case for… Makes my Wednesday morning that much better!

Yeah, some “I just made this page to make a quick buck” .eu registrars do not inform customers what “successful” means. Like it could in fact not be taken yet, but there may be a long line of 50 possible owners waiting to grab it already…
Good thing you managed to get a refund… some would just make you use your credit to register other domains.
So - any cool .eu sites on the works? Besides pointers?
I better get mine back.. But i pressume i will right ken? Like same company same rules, do i have to send them an email aswell? Ill get my dad to check his card later..
Pavlos - no .eu sites planned at the moment. Have a new .com on the way, another blog no doubt, but trying out some new things with this one, at least style and structure wise. More sport on the way!
Sean - yes, there will be full refunds issued, don’t worry!
